Sarah Kiser Obituary
Oak Ridge, TN
Sarah Morris Kiser passed away on September 7, 2015. She was born on April 20 in Sparta, TN. She attended First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge, TN where she was an active member for almost 50 years. She was a past president and member of the Oak Ridge Women's Club (ORWC), member of the Oak Ridge Dance Club, and previously volunteered as a Pink Lady at Methodist Medical Center. She was an avid gardener, most known for her rose gardens. She won several awards for her floral arrangements. Sarah was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Mama Sace), great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Ewin Bell Kiser, Jr.; sons, Mike Kiser, Mark Hendricks, Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Georgia) Kiser, Tom and Lee-Ann Kiser; grandchildren, Kelsey Kiser and husband, Todd Spears, Carolyn Thomas, and Kipp Kiser; great-grandchildren, Piper and Harrison Spears; sister and brother-in-law, Dean and Dawson Miller; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Alberta Morris; brother and sister-in-law, Wisdom and Mary Morris; sister and brother-in-law, Valeria and Bob Kyes.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary in Oak Ridge. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Kern Memorial United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge with Pastor Don Morris officiating. The interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Family and friends who wish to honor her may send flowers or make donations to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation (www.macular.org). An on-line guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
