AUBURN - Paul C. Watson, 98, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023, at his home in Auburn, Indiana.
He was born on July 9, 1925, in Auburn, to Floyd and Agnes (Rinehold) Watson.
Paul worked for 44 years at Auburn Gear in Auburn and also worked at the same time for 25 years at Sears Automotive in Fort Wayne.
He was a member of Auburn Church of the Nazarene.
Paul was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He enjoyed mowing his lawn which he did until he was 97 years old. His first priority was his family. He enjoyed helping his kids and grandkids with all their projects.
He married Martha Jane Warstler on April 7, 1946, in Waterloo and she died on March 30, 2000.
Surviving are four sons and a daughter, Dale Watson and his wife, Kay, of Auburn, Dean Watson, of Fort Wayne, Dawn Keen and her husband, Garret, of Waterloo, Dr. David Watson and his wife, Rhonda, of Indianapolis and Darl Watson, of Auburn; six grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Watson, of Auburn, Chris Watson and his fiancé, Kristina Byzyka, of Fort Wayne, Paige (Jeff) DeRuiter, of Florida, Kelsey (Dustin) Dehart, of Chicago, Derek Watson, of South Carolina, and Jeremy Watson, of Garrett; four great-grandchildren, Kaylee Watson, of Auburn, Beckham DeRuiter, of Florida, Crew DeRuiter, of Florida, and Isaiah Dehart, of Chicago; and sister-in-law, Esther Wilcox, of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son, Don Watson; a daughter, Donna Watson; sister, Mabel Hook; two brothers, Oscar Watson and Harry Watson.
Services were held on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with the Rev. Doug Thomas officiating.
Burial followed the service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Paul, to Promedica Hospice, 2720 DuPont Commerce Court, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
