Jones, Douglas Kirby 50, of Road Creek, KY (formerly Round Lake Beach, IL), died Thursday, November 6th, 2014. He was born January 9, 1964, the son of the late Jackie Edward Jones, Sr. of Elkhorn City and the late Florence Jones (nee Bennett) of Round Lake Beach, IL. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie E. Jones, Jr. of Road Creek; an infant sister, Jacqueline Jones; his paternal grandparents, William Jones, Sr. of Round Lake Beach, IL and Dorothy Jones (nee Wolford) of Round Lake Beach, IL; his aunt, Vickie Sue Barker (nee Jones) of Chicago; and his uncle, Ronnie Wheeler. Kirby is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Jones, 26 of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; and his son, Douglas Jones, 18 of Road Creek, KY; and one grandson, Ramsey of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; he is also survived by his brothers, Timmy Ward and Eddie Ward; Kirby was the cherished nephew of William Jones, Jr. (Patsy Jones, nee Linville) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Janice Linville (nee Jones) of Wheeling, IL, and Margaret Wheeler; he was also the adored cousin of Dorothy Cooper (Steve), Sharon Jennings (Kevin), William Jones III (Denise), Robert Barker, Vicki Goodman (Dan), Elisha Sharp, Melinda (Don) Bukovi, and Michelle Mattix; loving uncle of Jackie Jones and Skylar Jones; he is also survived by his dear friends, Billie Ward, Misty Ward and John Clevinger. Kirby fought a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis after being diagnosed at 18 and he will be greatly missed by all who treasured and loved him. A Memorial service was held to honor Kirby on Saturday, November 15th, 2014, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel of Elkhorn City. Final Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville, IL at a later date.
