Frederick Wahl Obituary
Died October 16, 2004 at Santa Monica Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. He is loved and survived by his wife, Sharon; their three children, Michael, Laurence and Wendy, their spouses, Candy, Missy, and John; his six grandchildren and his nephew, Donald Treiman. Dr. Wahl practiced general surgery in Los Angeles for 61 years. Funeral services will be held at Hollywood Forever, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd., on Wednesday, October 20th at 12 noon. It is the family's wish that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

I first met Dr. Wahl at Pacific Glen Hospital. I was a U.S.C. freshman and had a part-time
Job at the hospital. We bonded immediately.
I would work at night, and he would work on certain nights. He was kind, and I can still hear his Laugh. It was so distinctive. We laughed a lot.
I remember or night when there was an emergency. The hospital had a contract with Southern Pacific Railroad and in came a man who was brought in with 3 of his fingers in a baggy. You can imagine my reaction. Dr. Wahl had no assistant so he asked me to help. I got what he needed and he went right to work with such ease. It´s been 50 years and good, sincere people are never forgotten.
