Starr, Jack
Jack fought a valiant battle against diabetes and all the ravages that this disease which ultimately took him on Dec. 13, 2003. Jack was born Dec. 31, 1923 in NYC Sarah and Max Starr, their first child. He was a poor boy of the Depression; this greatly influenced his desire to succeed. He was a Vise-President of Dino De Laurentiis Corporation. At 18, he enlisted in the Army, and was in a unit that liberated Buchenwald. This inhumanity by man against man had another profound influence on Jack. Jack was a devoted and loving husband to Laura. He was also survived by children Jay (Sheryl), Julie (Gary), Karla (Roger), and Adam (Margaret, deceased). Jack was predeceased by Ronnie and Marc. He was a kind and honorable man who loved roses, football, and good food. He sought justice and equality for humankind. We love you Jack.
