Some of the Maya students in our scholarship program in Guatemala
Elisabeth Nicholson

We were very sad to hear about Bob's passing. He was a friend of our organization, the Maya Educational Foundation (MEF) whose mission it is to promote the educational advancement of the Maya people.
We thank him for his generous bequest to MEF, which will allow us to underwrite ten five-year university scholarships for Maya students in Guatemala, Chiapas//Mexico, and southern Belize.
Bob, may you rest in peace and may you know that your actions changed young Maya students' lives for the better. Thank you!

One of the sweetest, most generous, greatest professors and mentors I have ever known. I just found out and I am crying over the loss of a dear friend.
