Steven Emerson Obituary

December 7, 1952 - October 31, 2016 Steve Emerson passed away in his sleep at the age of 63, after a long illness. He passed at his Upland home on Halloween, ironically his favorite holiday. Steve was born in Pasadena, on December 7, 1952. An Arcadia High graduate (1971), Steve worked in the retail clothing field for over 30 years. Steve is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sonia, his son's Steven and Scott, their wives Heather and Tish, grandchildren Logan and Caleb, mother Sally, brother Rick, and father in law Max Georgi. He was preceded in death by his father Dick. Steve enjoyed family and was active in the lives of his children and grandchildren. Getting to know Logan and Caleb by providing day care was one of his most enjoyable activities. The family will hold a private Celebration of Life in December when son Scott completes his separation from the Navy. The family requests donations to the City of Hope in lieu of flowers.

I'm so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. My condolences to all. Sally, I'd give you a hug if I was down there. Take care.

I worked for Steve at Hinshaws Department Store in Arcadia right about the time he met and was wooing Sonia. A finer boss and friend one could not ask for--and it was just perfect that he and Sonia married.

Good memories of Steve are easy to recall, even through today's sadness.

Deepest sympathies to Sonia and the family.
