LAUREL HILL — Charles "Charley" Regan Farrell, Sr., 59, of Laurel Hill passed away on Feb. 14, 2018.
Charles was the only son of the late Charles Roy Farrell, Jr., and Violet Huntington Regan Farrell born April 26, 1958 in Laurinburg. He earned his degree from Pembroke State University and worked in sales for many years. Charley was a romantic who loved and married his high school sweetheart, Susan on June 21, 1980 and they have been blessed with a beautiful family.
He served as a faithful member of the Church in the Pines. He also enjoyed cars and driving, watching his favorite programs on television and playing cards. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Elizabeth Huntington Farrell.
Charley leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Susan Morgan Farrell of the home in Laurel Hill; two sons, Charles Regan Farrell, Jr., of Danbury, Ct.; and James "Edwin" Farrell (Amanda) of Ithaca, N.Y. and his grandson, Cornelius Alexander Farrell; sister, Deborah Farrell Seale (David Morris) of Georgetown, S.C.; his devoted mother-in- law, Mrs. Elizabeth Morgan of Laurel Hill; sisters and brother-in- law, Kay Anderson, Elise Morgan (Jerry Wright), Jim Morgan (Annette); many nieces and nephews including, John Robert Seale (Kristin), William Seale and great nephew, John Robert "Robbie" Seale, III.
The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 19, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
A celebration of life memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the church in the Pines in Laurel Hill officiated by Rev. Crystal Blue. A private interment will be at a later date in the Morgan Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for memorial donations to be given in Charles's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
