Jose Rivera Obituary

Jose Antonio "Tony" Rivera went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was a lifelong resident of Las Cruces and was born on March 28, 1936 to Jose Z. Rivera and Felipa Telles Rivera. Tony, as he was fondly known to his family and friends, served his country honorably in the United States Navy. After his discharge from the military, Tony worked at Sarah Lee Hosiery until his retirement after many years of service. Tony's last job was aw a school cross guard which he enjoyed tremendously.
Tony is survived by two brothers, Miguel Rivera and Danny Rivera (Irene) and two sisters, Martha Calderon and Christina Lindsey (Gary) all from Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother David Rivera as well as his sisters, Margaret Vega, Celia Lopez, Mary Navarro, Emily Marquez, Esther Criswell and Sister Theresa A. Rivera.
A prayer vigil will be held 7 pm Thursday August 9, 2018 at La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday August 10, 2018 at Holly Cross Catholic Church, Inurnment will follow the services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home 555 West Amador Las Cruces NM 88005.
