Patsy Louise Henderson

Las Cruces - Patsy Louise Henderson of Las Cruces, New Mexico, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on June 17, 2021. She passed away at Rust Presbyterian Hospital in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at 68 years of age. Pat was born to Archie and Ruby (Arie) Reeves in Lamesa, Texas. Pat grew up in Knoxville, Illinois, graduated from Knoxville High School, and met her future husband, Gary Henderson, while working at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. Pat was married to Gary on May 18, 1974, in Galesburg. Pat supported Gary in his U. S. Public Health Service career, as they were assigned to many different duty stations across the United States. They have lived in Las Cruces for the past 32 years.

Pat was very active in her church, leading the kitchen ministry for almost 30 years, and being an active part in the women's ministry, the food pantry ministry, and welcoming and loving people. Pat loved to Jazzercise, loving the fitness and the camaraderie. She also loved hiking - she walked up A Mountain with friends a couple of times a week.

Pat is survived by her husband, Gary; two children, Kelly (Beau) Thompson of Edgecliff Village, Texas, and Michelle (Joseph) Santana of Las Cruces, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Abigail, Abraham, Joshua, and Lucy. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Pat is also survived by one sister Kathy Bowen and husband, Bill, of Rio Rancho, N.M., and an uncle, Lynn Reeves of Ft. Myers, Florida. Also are nieces Sarah Newcomb and Jill (Travis) Hill, and nephew Ted (Carrie) Bowen. Grand nieces and nephews include Will and Dave Newcomb, Tyler (Holly, & Brayden) Hill, Dylan Hill, Jake Hill, and Lilly Bowen. Her mother-in-law Elsie Myers, lives in Las Cruces. A step-sister-in-law, Shirley Harrison, lives in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and a step-brother-in-law, Ron Myers, lives in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She is also survived by many other family and friends.

Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1800 So. Locust, Las Cruces, N.M. on June 28, 2021, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Women's Ministry or Food Pantry.
