Tomas Perez

It is with deep sorrow and heavy that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Tomas Perez, 83, of Las Cruces on Friday, May 29, 2015 at MountainView Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, to Agustin Perez and Concepcion Romero. Mr. Perez retired from the construction industry and was a member of the Catholic Church.
Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife, Maria M. Perez, of the family home; a daughter, Alma Perez and her daughter, Bethany, of Las Cruces; a brother, Ramon Perez of San Francisco; four sisters, Mary Ann Kilgore, Mayo Chapman, Elizabeth Perez all of Las Cruces, Josephine Pernicero of Detroit. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Juan Jr., Susan, Manny, Ramon and Enrique Perez. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Juan Perez; three brothers, Celso, Gonzalo and Gabrel Perez; three sisters, Maria Luisa Varela, TavitaValtierrez and Rosa Dominguez.
Visitation for Mr. Perez will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Family and friends will join together to celebrate the funeral Mass at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress where he will be laid to rest.
Serving as casket bearers will be family members.
