John and Margery were married on Columbus Day weekend, October 12, 1974 in Madison, CT. John and Margery were soul mates. John R. Feitig was born in Philadelphia, on September 29, 1949. He was the son of L. Robert Feitig and Keturah "Betty" Harps Feitig and grew up in the Stroudsburg area.

During the summers his family would travel to Ocean City, NJ where many fond memories of childhood were formed. He is also survived by Peter Caruso and Jonathan Caruso, sons' of Sally and Richard Caruso; as well as Jordan Samet and Jeremey Samet, sons' of John R.
