Paul Betz Obituary

III LEBANON Paul E. Betz III, 75, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Sandra F. Clouse Betz of whom he was married to for 50 years. He was born in Lebanon on March 16, 1936, son of the late Paul E. Betz Jr. and the late Anna C. Daub Betz. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during peacetime and a member of the Lebanon VFW and St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Lebanon. He was previously employed by Printed Terry, Lebanon; Mitchers Distillery, Schaefferstown and a courier for Penn National Race Course. He also was the former owner/operator of Betz's Tavern, Annville and Paul's Hebron House. Paul is survived by his daughter, Kelly and her husband James, Cleona; sons, John R. Betz and his wife Robin, Palmyra; Michael Betz and his wife Judy, Mt. Gretna; Kevin P. Betz and his wife Jenny, Lebanon; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was a devoted great-grandfather to McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his son, Samuel Betz. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
