Richard Yohe Obituary

Richard E. Yohe

Lebanon - Richard E. "Dick" Yohe, 65, of Lebanon, departed this life on the evening of Friday, December 18, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on September 18, 1955, in Orrstown, son of the late Wilbur and Anna (Starr) Yohe.Dick worked in building and grounds maintenance at Londonderry Village and really enjoyed working there. He was an excellent cook, loved to go hunting, was a lover of country music, and was known to brag about his Fords. Dick was a very kind hearted man, who would talk to anyone and could make friends very easily, and was known to offer the last dollar out of his pocket if someone would need it. When he was around there was never a dull moment because he would always be telling jokes, trying to make people laugh. Dick loved Cindy, his kids, grandkids, and friends. He never hung up the phone without saying I love you and will be missed so very much. Dick is survived by his companion and love of his life for over twenty years, Cynthia Foster of Lebanon; four children, Stephanie Clopper and husband Benjamin of Quincy, Tara Yohe of Shippensburg, Tiffany Jimenez-Alvarez and husband Magbis of Scotland, and Dustin E. Yohe and wife Amanda of Red Lion; three step-children, Sophie, Angie, and Nicholas; eleven grandchildren, Cortney, Larren, Kixten, Dyona, Nahalyn, RaeLea, Leighton, Omari, Landyn, LeAnna, and Clayton; two great grandchildren, Cannon, Rylee, and Jaedyn; ten step grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; four siblings, Marvin, Marvena, Charlene, and Don; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by one sister, Vera, and one brother, Bobby. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, December 28, 2020, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Troy Neil will officiate. Interment will follow in the Air Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Monday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Dick's name may be made to Londonderry Village. I can't believe Dick has been gone for almost a year now. It still doesn't seem real. He might be gone but he is definitely not forgotten. We still bring up happy/funny memories of Dick at Londonderry Village. All of his co-workers miss him tremendously. I miss him. I think about him all of the time. He was a great man and I am grateful to have known him and worked with him for all those years. Keep flying with the angels. I love you Richard.

Dick was one of the kindest souls I ever met! When I was having a bad day he was there to make me laugh and make my day better. If I asked him to help a resident, he was there with a smile and always willing to help. It doesn't seem real that you're gone Dick and you will always be deeply missed!!!!
Love,
Dawn (friend and co-worker)

I had known Dick the entire time I worked at Londonderry Village. He always made me smile and laugh when we worked the weekend, and he never once complained when I called him, as I would always have an issue or problem when I called him. I had left in September and I should have given him a hug and said goodbye, as I don't think I did. He was a great coworker, and a good friend. He will be missed.

Dick was one of those people that was always there when you needed him. He never hesitated to help. I am so sorry we won't be able to talk and laugh together. Always smiling, loved helping the residents at Londonderry Village. Always stopped to say Hello. What a great person! He will be very much missed here by so many.
Words will not wipe away your tears and hugs may not ease the pain, but hold on to your memories, because forever they will remain.

Dick was wonderful to my parents at Londonderry Village. I remember he would get down on the floor and play with my mom’s dog which warmed her heart. He was always willing to help and nothing was ever a bother. May God grant you all peace.

Richard aka Dick was not only a co-worker of mine but a dear friend. He always had a smile on his face and made me laugh with his jokes. He nicknamed me Sunshine and he often referred to me as that.
