Salem, Alabama - Mr. David L. Shelton, 70, of Salem, AL passed Monday, May 23, 2022 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon EST Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Cherith Beth Slaughter, officiating. Interment to follow in Zion at the Hill A.M.E. Zion Church, Opelika, AL. Visitation is Friday, June 3, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Shelton was born May 5, 1952, in Lee County, AL to the late Leola Comer-Shelton and the late Samuel Shelton, Sr. He graduated from Beauregard High School in 1971 and currently was employed with Cantrell Stables, Inc.
Survivors include three daughters, Sephanie Shelton-Vaughn, Adrienna Strozer; three sons, Mark (Jamie) Shelton, Nikia Morris and Carlandes Morris, Sr.; one sister, Susie McCleod; 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
