Jacqueline Griffith Obituary

Jacqueline Lucille (Casper) Griffith passed away December 23, 2012 at the age of 84 in Madison, Connecticut. She is predeceased by her husband, Marion (Griff), of 64 years. She is survived by daughters: Robin Foster, Randi Brito, and Wendy Ruiz; four grandchildren: Jaime Foster, Courtney Russell, Michael and Jessica Ruiz; and one great grandson. She is predeceased by her parents, Jack and Miley Casper, and brothers Ron Casper and Ward Casper.
Jackie was born March 10, 1928 in Jenners, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School, and attended Kent State University. Following marriage to Griff on November 25, 1948, she resided in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where she was active in the Jaycees, Children's Concert, and Girl Scouts, until Griff's work took them to Medford Lakes, New Jersey, Madison, Connecticut, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and finally to Jaffrey where they resided for 18 years. There Jackie was active in the Women's Club and assisted with library activities. Jackie spent her last three years in Madison, Connecticut near family.
Jackie was an excellent homemaker, enjoying antiquing, gardening, bridge, reading, knitting, and quilting. She loved to cook and try new recipes, especially for baked goods and candies. Jackie played tennis early in life and golf in later years. Above all she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and put her family above herself. We will miss her.
