This was a hard blow to the family. Nathan was born into our family at a very difficult time and provided much needed peace. I took his passing extremely hard, to the point that I became very ill. He was and still is truly missed.
I was a big part in his joining the Military, so to loose him while active in the service was hard to deal with. The dreams we wanted to share were only a thought, but the memories he made got us through the hard times.
I still miss him today. As my boys grow up I often wander what words of encouragement he would pour into them. My oldest son still talks about him, my middle son looks just like him, and I can only imagine the trouble he would get into with my youngest one.
As for his military brothers and sisters. We felt your pain. We appreciate your efforts in building friendships, and wish you the best in your decision to stand for something great. Your memories live with us as well.
Thank You for the time we had Nathan. I'm still one of your biggest fans.
