Alan Goudy

Alan Goudy, 82, of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away on May 2, 2024. Alan was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was born on March 31, 1942, in Faribault, Minnesota. Alan served in the Minnesota Army National Guard from 1961 to 1967. He was a dedicated insurance underwriter for 48 years, supporting many brokers and agents in the industry.

Alan was a committed member of Mercy Road at the Crossroads church in Burnsville and spent 35 years attending Hosanna Lutheran in Lakeville. He enjoyed exercising, spending time with friends at the YMCA, and having coffee at Lunds & Byerly's on Fridays.

Alan is survived by his wife Karin, children Jaye (Bob), Don (Debbie), and Kristina (Leroy), grandchildren RJ, Andrew, Brittany, Kyle (Denali), Katelyn (Matthew), Joshua, Dmitri, Hunter, and Trent, as well as great-grandchildren Hazel, Owen, Piper, Brody, Wesley, Draxton, and Harmony. He is also survived by many cousins, sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Gwen Goudy, a son, James Alan Goudy, and a great-grandson, Cayden.

Alan enjoyed traveling and visiting his loved ones across the US and Europe. He cherished singing in the church choir at Oak Grove Lutheran and was a member of the Bloomington Barbershop chorus.

A Celebration of Alan's Life will be held later this year. Contributions in his memory can be made to Mercy Road at Crossroads church in Lakeville, Minnesota, or the American Heart Association.
