Allan Maas Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 21, 2014.
~Beloved father of Frank, father-in-law of Jan, Grandpa of Ben and Rachel, great friend to Sarah, and Great Grandpa of Ginger and Harvey.

Our inspiration and family leader. Dad lived life on his terms – independent, generous, loving and selfless – our old mate.  He looked after his family; served his country and supported his old comrades and community for decades; he bled for the North Melbourne Football Club on and off the field.

He was honoured to be awarded life membership of the RSL and the Kangaroos.

Allan was the best of us – the person he inspired us all to be. Now at rest with his adored Millie.

Frank, Jan, Rachel, Ben, Sarah, Ginger and Harvey.

To the Maas family,
We send our love at this time of sadness. We will miss Allan as he was a much loved part of our extended family. Always Grandpa Maas to Travis who thought of him as a very special person. He will be at peace now with Millie.

Dear Susie, Ron and family
Very sad to hear about your dad passing away. He was such a character, so determined, so stubborn, so loving of his family. It was fantastic he was able to live on his own terms and in his own home right up until the end.
You have all been so supportive of him and have taken great care of him ensuring he was always part of everything. Nice to think he is now with his beloved wife looking down on his family and friends eternally grateful for the wonderful life he had.

With much love, John Ireland and Anne-Marie Kennedy
