Anna M. Crampton

Your mother and father were wonderful to know. I just learned of Anna's death and have fond memories of working with her at Ingham DSS. She did her work well, and educated us who knew little of her culture. I showed a friend some of her beautiful baskets in Mt. Pleasant a week ago.
She was a bright spot in the world.

My love to all of you Cramptons and our wonderful memories of summers at Little Wolf. Annie was such a part of my youth and my childrens summers. I can see her beautiful smile from the heavens above looking down on us all. Her laugh and twinkling eyes and beautiful hands I will never forget. You are all in my heart always.

I had the honor of working with Anna at the Department of Human Services. She was very competent, caring, and effective. Anna always went the extra mile for her families. I remembered Anna's work when I got to Central Office and this became the basis for the revised position description that earned a higher classification and pay for all the Indian Outreach Workers. She left quite a legacy at the department.

When I remember Anna, I think of joy. I'll always remember her wonderful smile and twinkling eyes. Your mother was truly amazing; fun, interesting and so patient (with this sewing student who'd rather goof off than sew). I considered myself very lucky when I'd run into her during a visit to Haslett. We always ended up laughing long and loud over some memory from sewing class or neighborhood goofiness. I am so sorry for your loss.

The heavens have gained an angel. Anna was a wonderful talented lady who loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

God Bless your family for the loss of your mother. Anna's artistic legecy will be with us for many years to come. I worked at the Lansing Indian Center in the 70's and remember her very well and have seen her quill work many times. Love to all during this time of mourning.
