Anna Niemerg

Anna Marie Niemerg, 78, of rural Dieterich, died at 8:11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Bishop Creek. Burial will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the church, with a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service and an 8 p.m. parish rosary service. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Niemerg was born July 20, 1931 in Effingham, the daughter of Ferd and Mary (Pruemer) Zerrusen. She married Harold B. Niemerg May 7, 1955, and he preceded her in death in 1997. A homemaker, Mrs. Niemerg was a member of St. Isidore Parish, St. Isidore Council of Catholic Women and Third Order of St. Francis. She is survived by sons, Allen (wife, Judy) of Dieterich, Mike of St. Charles, Mo., Pat (wife, Donna) of Teutopolis and Gary (wife, Valerie) of Colorado Springs, Co.; daughters, Judy (husband, Steve) Stock of Flowery Branch, Ga., Janet (husband, Scott) Cummins of Newton and Donna (husband, Matt) Woelfer of Effingham; brother, Adolph Zerrusen of Teutopolis; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant grandson, Frederick John; and sister, Dorothy Brummer.
