Yes! for me too! Dear Mirabel and all. the Boxing day parties of yesteryears.....John (Mr.Russell to me too)invariably arriving later in a sports car, perhaps from a rugby game? with a smoke, a drink, a twinkle in his eye, singing in that deep voice...fond and fun memories of those times together. Thinking of you all at this time

So sorry to hear about John's (Mr Russell to me) passing. I still think of the hill parties, get all dressed up, giant stories and him singing 'It's a long way to Tipperary!' and many other songs. Your family was always so fun to be around.

RIP John...it was an honour and a pleasure to play rugby along side with you. ....my condolences to Meridel and to Robin and his sisters...I have great memories of the early days of the Bytown Blues...but I am back to my early rugby roots in Deep River...many here share our thoughts about John.
