In memory of our father, the Léger family has associated itself with the Missionaries of Africa (White Fathers) to build, in his name, a clinic in Malawi, Africa.

The “Doctor Aurèle Léger” clinic will permit the memory of our father, active in the medical profession for over 40 years, to live on by helping those less fortunate in Africa. The clinic will benefit from the commitment and expertise of the Missionaries of Africa continuing over a hundred years of life saving work.

It is with his memory in mind that we ask for your donations – donations that will help extend the commitment and generosity of our father to the most deprived people in the world.

Ma Tante Francine, Anne-Marie, François et Pierre: Je suis tellement désolée d'avoir si tardivement appris le décès de "Mon Oncle Aurèle". Mes plus sincères sympathies à vous tous. Aujourd'hui en ce 26 nov., date du 21e anniversaire de décès de ma mère, je pense à vous. Jeune, Mon Oncle a toujours su être rassurant quant à mon état de santé fragile et Dieu sait combien de fois il a pris le temps de m'écouter et me soigner. Aux funérailles de mon père, il m'a dit: "Ne désespère pas ma belle - la sclérose en plaques ne sera plus une maladie incurable pour bien longtemps encore - Courage!" Mon Oncle était un homme exceptionnel. Il avait une place bien spéciale dans mon coeur. Bisous à tous! Nicole xx

Dr Leger looked after my family from 1957 until I moved to PEI in 1988. and even my daughter after that, he will always be remembered.
To his family, may his memory carry you through this period. he was a good man and a good doctor.

Vous avez été un merveilleux médecin de famille. Vous nous avez tous soigné. Vous êtes venu souvent chez nous pour soigner notre père et notre mère. Toujours calme et bienveillant. Au revoir Dr. Léger et merci.

I remember being young and Dr Leger would make house calls to make our childhood complaints go away. He would arrive carrying his black medical bag; his voice soft and full of care and gentleness. He looked after my parents, my brother and I. May his family find comfort that he brought care and comfort to his patients.
