Dad, today is your 80th Birthday and unfortunately we could not be there.
It has been a little over a month since we lost you and it hasn't gotten any easier, maybe in time I'm not sure.
You would have been very proud of Brad on the day we sent you to be with Sandy. We were all there and it was a beautiful day.
I miss our daily phone calls even at times they could get a little hairy and we usually disagreed but that's OK I wouldn't change a thing, if we did it would not be who we are!
I know you would be very happy to know that we all talk everyday, we are all looking out for each other which I know you would be happy about.
Cheryl has done a great job trying to make your last wishes for us done the way you would want them.
I would give anything to have you here today with all of us. I think we all do really take things for granted.
Happy Birthday Dad...

I first met Barry on the steps of the union hall on Norland Ave. I was trying to transfer in from Ontario. He was walking up the steps with Don Hogarth financial secretary from local 46. Don and I had worked on several jobs. Don asked Barry to help me transfer in. Sadly both of these fine UA brothers have passed away.
RIP Barry you will be missed every second Thursday of the month

Barry was a wonderful neighbour and friend to us for 23 years. After we moved to the Shuswap 4 years ago, Barry kept in touch, and we enjoyed several visits with him on our trips back to the coast. He could always make us laugh with his funny expressions and colorful stories. We will miss you Barry!

It was a shock to hear of his passing. I am glad he called me when he got home from the hospital and we spoke that one last time telling him when he was up to it we will celebrate our birthdays together, he said he was looking forward to it. I will miss our visits and talks. He was always kind and giving and always wanted to help out in any way he could. His funny descriptive sayings and his feistyness always put a smile on everyones face that knew him. deepest sympathies to his family from my family.

Thank you Grandpa for being such a wonderful Grandpa. You and Grandma were such fantastic Grandparents to me and I feel very fortunate to have been born your Granddaughter. Thank you for all the morning cuddles when I stayed over as a little one, the pancakes, the pounds of bacon, Disney movies, Ninja Turtle everything, for the camping trips and for surprising me at my show. I always had so much fun with you and Grandma and I hope you both always knew how much I love you both. I feel at peace in knowing that you and Grandma are now planning your next adventure together or you two are enjoying a drink in the jacuzzi with Sambo near by. I'm going to miss your bear hugs, your feist, you clicking your teeth and the eternal love I always felt from you and Grandma everytime I saw you two. Grandpa, you were so frank, so funny and so loved.
Love,

You had a big heart, a warm smile and twinkle of mischief in your eye! You will be missed Barry! I loved it when I would see you walk into the hall, I knew it was going to be a good day! Thanks for making work that much better. You made me laugh and smile and will be fondly remembered. Rest in Peace and raise a little hell Barry! XO
