We only met Ben in the last 10 years when we started walking at the Waterloo Rec Centre. Ben was always cheerful and greeted us every morning with a "Good morning lady and gentleman." Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we were unable to see Ben over the weeks but would occasionally see him walking on Father Davie Drive with his walking poles. Sorry to hear this news but R.I.P. Ben.

Knowing all the years as Benny, he was a great neighbor on Albert Street West and then off of Reid Street in Sault Ste. Marie. Benny was a kind gentleman and had a generous heart. He would always stop by to chat in the summer as part of his evening walk. After moving to Waterloo, our families always kept in touch via telephone. Our last chat was about two months ago. Rest in Peace our dear friend.
