Well have posted quite a bit - I don't know how I met Bev for the first time - then Transcona where we both lived was a smallish town but eventually grew into a city of its own. We were both quite young when we met but always had a lot of fun together - just innocent girl stuff. I do recall her going to Florida on occasion but it may have been when she was married to Jim, her kids dad but I don't know for sure; she remarried and I don't know if she went to Florida then or not and she did remarry but I wasn't a fan of his to be sure so we didn't see each other as much as we had for many years. Couldn't tell you when she finally made the move to Florida and didn't realize that she had come back here to visit - but apparently not me - guess we weren't as good friends as I thought we had been. Sincere sympathy to her kids.
Pat Fortescue - already made a few posts but keep getting requests for more - so this is my last one.

have already posted several times - was wondering if there will be any memorial service for Bev in Transcona - she was born and raised here and spent the majority of her life here.....just wondering.

knew Bev as a very young girl - both of us. The place where her hairdressing salon has been for years a fabulous deli and it's funny that just the other day I was there and told them that - they hadn't been aware of that before. Never heard a word from Bev once she moved -thought we had been better friends than that but obviously she outgrew me. Anyway very sad to hear of her passing.

Bev and I were friends years before either of us ever met our husbands - knew her mom and dad also. As the years passed I know Bev would take the odd trip to Florida to see an Aunt of hers but that was all I knew. Bev's first husband and the father of her kids and my late husband Don had known each other for a long time - Transcona was a small town in the day so mostly everyone knew everyone. Nothing but good memories of Bev - the place I go now to buy delicious food - you name it they've got it - used to be where Bev's hairdressing shop was "Clip and Curl" - I just recently told the owners of Sevalas that it was at one time a hairdressing shop and they had not known that at all. Although I had not heard anything from Bev for many years I never forgot about her - we always had fun together even as young girls - innocent fun that we thought was hilarious - I still pass by the home where she was raised - sadly whomever had taken over that house certainly hasn't taken care of it the way her dad did. Anyway Bev would take the odd trip to Florida as I remember but then I guess she forgot to come back ... we had been friends since very very young teens and I certainly knew her kids and their father - but then one time she went to Florida and didn't come back - but I never forgot about her and always hoped I would see her again. Again my sincere condolences to her kids... Once she moved to Florida I was surprised to not hear from her again - never thought that would happen as we had been friends for such a long long time....too late now though obviously but I never forgot about her ever..

nothing more than I haven't already posted - Bev and I were friends from the time we were young girls - I knew her mom and her absolutely beloved father also and actually just happened to drive by what was their home at one time, not long ago. Have always thought of Bev over the years but never did hear from her for many years - but her first husband and my husband had known each other for quite a while before either one of them met us. Bev was a great person, very very generous, funny as heck and we really were wonderful friends from a very young age. Actually the place where she had her hairdressing shop is now called "Savalas" and it sells the best prepared food ever and I believe the day before I heard about Bev's passing I was telling the girls there that their store used to be a hairdressing salon - they hadn't known that before - told them it was the Clip n' Curl and that a dear friend of mine had owned it. Anyway for whatever reason I hadn't heard from Bev for many years but I absolutely never ever forgot about her - and whenever I thought of her it was always with a smile - we were so young and so innocent and were really very very good friends for many years - well until she decided to not return from Florida so I hadn't heard from her for years and sadly when I did last hear anything it was about her passing. I had wondered if there would be any kind of service for her here but I haven't heard of anything so probably not. But I will never forget her and never could - she really was one of a kind and I have missed her a lot over the years but never thought I would never see her again. My deepest and most sincere sympathy to her children who loved her so much, as she definitely loved them. Wish I had the opportunity to see her again at least one more time.

Bev and I were very good friends way before either one of us were married - sadly I never heard from her again when she took her last trip to Florida years ago - guess she forgot about me but I have never forgotten her - have nothing bug wonderful memories of her and I as really kids. We knew each other for many years before either of us were married - she did take the odd trip to Florida, but she took the last one and didn't return so I hadn't heard from her for years. Never ever forgot about her to be sure - as kids we always had so much fun together - and I am extremely saddened to have heard of her passing - always thought I would see her again but I definitely never ever forgot about her. Actually I happened to drive by the home where she was raised the other day and it sure doesn't look like it used to - she wouldn't have liked the way it looks now. Very sorry to not have seen or heard from Bev for years - her first husband and my husband were also friends before either of us met the guys. Very very sorry for her kids' loss - she really was one of a kind and I for one will never forget her - just sorry I didn't have the chance to see her for so many years..

Bev and I were great friends from a very early age - way before either of us were married - her first husband Jim and my husband Don were friends and Bev and I really were good friends for many many years before either of us was married.. I knew that she had an Aunt in Florida and in later years she would go to Fla to visit. Can't remember when she went there and stayed though, but have often thought about her and hoped I would hear from her again - didn't think it would be seeing that she had passed. She really was a great person and I had always thought I would see her again, but that's not going to happen now. I hadn't seen her or heard from her since she apparently moved to Florida but I have never forgotten her and never will and often, often thought of her and wondered how she was - very sorry to hear that she has passed but I will continue to always think of her as I have always done. Sincere sympathy to her kids and loved ones - I for sure will never forget her and will always think of her with a smile on my face and a tears in my eyes...

I have known Bev since were both very very young teenagers in Transcona. I knew her mom and her dad also. Her first husband Jim and my late husband had been friends for a long time before either Bev or I knew them. Bev was a great gal and we were friends until she suddenly went to Florida and didn't come back as far as I know. Always always liked her - we had such innocent fun as kids and we were friends all along until she went to Florida and forgot to come back here. Was just a fluke that I even found out she had passed and I did get emotional about that - even as very young teens we had fun - we enjoyed each others company and just had fun -listening to music, dancing etc. I knew she liked Florida as she had an aunt that lived there and as an adult she did start to visit there. Don't know how long she lived there cuz I never heard anything about her until I read that she had passed - I really felt sad hearing that because you never think that someone that you were friends with that you wouldn't see them again - although it had been many years since I had heard from her I never ever forgot about her and actually I mentioned her the other day because a place where she had a salon in Transcona was called I believe the Clip 'n Curl is now Sevalas and I am in there a lot buying some of their food products....so really sure I think of her all the time when I go there.

Bev and I had been friends when we were just kids ourselves. Her first husband Jim and my husband were friends. Bev and I were very very good friends for a very long time . Somehow we lost contact over the years and obviously had moved from Transcona to Florida - I knew she had an aunt that lived there but didn't know anything else. She really was a good gal to be honest and we were very good friends until she did go to the U.S. for good - but was very sad to hear that she had passed. She truly was one in a million and I have nothing at all but wonderful memories of her and am still saddened to hear that she had passed....had hoped to see her way before this ever happened. My husband and her first husband had known each other forever and Bev and I were friends way way before either of us were married - we always had a good time together even as kids. I was very sad to find out she had passed and still am, we were very good friends and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. As stated I hadn't heard from her for years but had assumed that she would be in Florida as I knew she really liked it there - very sad news she really was a great gal and I will miss her forever..as mentioned we knew each other since in our early teens. My sincere condolences to her kids cuz I know how much they meant to her - she really was a great gal! Miss you Bev.

When I was young around 5-6 my mother had me convinced I was allergic to illegal drugs.
When I was 19 my new doctor had laughed so hard he had to leave the room after I had told him my allergies.
Yep
I love you so much mom, you still are the star in my sky

Bev, you will be missed by all of those whose lives you have touched, which were many! I am happy that you are no longer suffering but your void cannot be replaced!

May you Rest In Eternal Peace,
