Brewster Milton Robertson

Brewster (Robbie) Robertson was a close friend and Boss who I admired and had many rounds of golf and fun days. I still miss him. God Bless.

So sad to just learn of Brewster's passing. He was a real influence in my early writing days in Beaufort, SC. Lost touch over the years, but will always give fond thought to this incredible teacher and man. Thanks, Brewster, for your encouragement and friendship so long ago. See you again, one day!

Brewster inspired reading and storytelling. He was a mentor as I set up Southern Scribe. I just wish my health had held up to see that vision through. Loved all of Brewster’s memories of literary venues and authors. He was entertaining.

Brewster was a supportive and wise voice in my journey as a writer. I cannot overstate what his influence did to bring me along and see me through my first novel being published and writing opportunities for a lifetime. He is very, much missed and always will be. Brewster was a lively storyteller, a patriot, and a mentor to aspiring authors. His service in the Korean War and his varied career thereafter, culminating in his devotion to his craft, to teaching creative writing and to publishing his novels, are a testament to his enthusiasm, perseverance and talent. Plus he was a fine golfer!! My late husband and Brewster had many conversations about things they had in common including their military service in the early 50’s and their mutual love of the links...here’s hoping both are back to enjoying the front nine, or its happy equivalent!
