LANDRETH-Carl Lee Landreth Dec 26, 1918-Oct 24, 2006. Birthplace: Daisy Mountain, Tennessee. Resided in: Mag alia, CA. Carl passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct 24, 2006 at age 878 at his home in Magalia. Born to Alfred and Lelah Landreth. Carl and his first wife, Gertrude Landreth, had three sons. Later Carl married Nancy Landreth. Carl served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in Corpus Christi. The war had ended 30 days before he was to be shipped out. Carl worked as an auto body repairman for over 50 years; more than 20 of those years for Harris Oldsmobile in Whittier, finally retiring at th e age of 73. He then pursued his love of art and worked full time on his metal sculptures made from copper and brass. He belonged to art guilds both in So. Cal and in Paradise, CA. Recently he started doing woodwork, creating birdhouses and squirrel feeders. Garl was preceded in death by his two oldest sons, Lloyd and Gary Landreth also his brothers Raymond and Harold Landreth. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy Landreth; son Richard Landreth and his wife Denise; stepsons, Lee Richardson and wife Barbara, and Jarrel Richardson and wife Vicki; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. A Graveside Service was Oct 28, 2006 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park, Chico, CA.
