I am devastated hearing about the news. Carla was like a mother to me. I love her so much. She was one of the most understanding, loving, special people. RIP Carla! Until I see you again, I love you and thank you for your kindness and live.

I worked with Carla at the American Statesman. She was such a sweet person and a pleasure to be around. I am saddened to hear she is no longer with us but at least she is at peace now. She will be truly missed.

I remember Carla from our years at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, TX. She was always a pleasant person to be around. Polite & gracious to everyone. I am sad to learn of her passing. My sympathy to her family.
