Beverly and Arthur,
We just had our 50th High School Reunion for the RBHS Class of 1967. Kim Schwencke and we're remembering Vern. He was such a great friend to both of us during school and until his passing in 1970. I wanted to know more about where You mother and the two of you were. In the process I found Your mother's site. I was so saddened to read of the passing of your mother. She was always kind to me when I came over to see and visit with Vern. She always treated me as an adopted son. I am very sad that I did keep in touch with her or with either of you over the past 47years. I offer my deepest sympathies in her passing.
Most Sincerely,
Ed Hendrickson

Carmen,
A true and life long friend to my Grandmother and the Ruhala family. A person of rare quality and one that will not be forgotten. The most valued friend, teacher, and mentor that I have been fortunate to meet.

My dear Carmen, I remember sitting in the front office of Suncoast High with you. It didn't seem like an interview, but like two women becoming fast friends. You were not only my mentor and colleague, but you and Vernon became my family away from home. I will always appreciate the times we spent as "roomies" during the week-long AP Readings. You were such an influence in my professional life, but more than that, you always encouraged, offered support, and inspired strength in me. Thank you. Que descanses en paz.

Sra. Jaramillo was one of--if not the--favorite teacher I ever had. I have thought of her often over these 44 years since I graduated from high school. My deepest sympathy to all of her family and friends.
