CAROLINA RODIN

RODIN, CAROLINA (PALACIO), passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her beautiful home at Belle Isle, Miami Beach, at the age of 38. Carolina was born in Cali, Colombia, May 11, 1977 before relocating to the United States, and settling in New Jersey, where she attended school. She later moved to Miami Beach, a place she deeply loved, and pursued a passionate career in flowers, which she possessed encyclopedic knowledge of, with Carolina's Creations. She donated time throughout her life to many charitable causes, including in 2010 to 1st & Alton, a Haiti Relief organization, tirelessly working to organize and raise $12 million in donated supplies to those stricken by the devastating earthquake. Selflessness, giving, caring, affection, empathy and unconditional love were mantras Carolina enthusiastically lived by, shining brightness on everyone around her, leaving lasting impacts on friends and family who now grieve her passing. She will be remembered as vibrant, talented, creative and proactive woman who painted, was surrounded by flowers, actively worked in her husband's business, ran marathons, loved standup paddleboarding, and took pride in being exceptionally physically fit. Carolina is survived by her loving husband Neil Rodin, and her stepchildren Lindsay Rodin of Tallahassee, Florida; Christopher Rodin, of Miami Beach, Florida; and Olivia Rodin and Sophie Rodin of Fredericksburg, Virginia, who collectively loved her as a mother. Carolina is also survived by her loving mother Gloria Mu¤oz and sister Sadi Osorio of Orlando, FL; sister Diana Palacio of Gray, Georgia; father Noel Palacio of Cali, Colombia; and half siblings Luz Angela Palacio, Maria Mercedes Palacio, and Diego Palacio of Cali, Colombia. A celebration of Carolina's life will take place Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 6:30pm at The Temple House, 1415 Euclid Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139, where family, friends and well-wishers will gather to honor her incredible spirit. In lieu of flowers, all are welcome to donate to Carolinas Light: A Charity in Memoriam, located on the website YouCaring.com. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Carolina's favorite charities.
