Charles Richard Babcock

Charlie was really a good guy who contributed a great deal to my success in Haw'n Electric Safety Division from 1988 until his retirement. His many contributions to the safety effort will never be known by many, yet the current Safety Staff and HECO employees are the benefactors. Charlotte, know that Charlie really, really loved you and was always thankful that you were in his life and stayed by his side. Charlie was my high school classmate (as was Charlotte) Kalani Class of '64. He was a good buddy to have in Aina Haina as we grew up. After graduation, we all lose track of classmates/friends but I can see in the family photos that he never changed and was the lovable, funny, great guy as a husband and father. My deepest sympathies to Charlotte, Robert, and Lisa. Rest in Peace my bud!!!

Charlie was a positive influence in my career and on me as a person. His smile, chuckle, and quick wit will always live strongly within me. Thanks Charlie for that great gift!!

I met Chuck when I started as a lineman apprentice back in 1973, I was fortunate to have him as a friend then and later when he moved in to the Safety Division. I think of him now and then with fond thoughts.
