Age 76, of North Huntingdon, died April 13, 2005; husband of Marjorie Bell Provan; father of Charles D. Provan (Carol), Cynthia A. Sears (Ken), Peggy Logan-Hardy (Jack), Diane E. Provan; brother of Louise Allshouse and the late Lois Provan Botkin; father-in-law to Dr. Matthew Logan; grandfather of Nathaniel, Susanna, Tobias, Tabitha, JoAnna, Josiah, Nicholas, Keturah, Gideon Provan, David, Michael, Melissa Sears, Julie, Suzanne, Jesse Logan and the late Matthias Andrew Provan. Friends received JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, N. Huntingdon, Thursday 7-9pm, Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Sat. 1:00 at the funeral home.

I was very sorry to learn of your loss. It doesn't seem that long ago that my ex-husband and I enjoyed the stimulation and hospitality that you and Charles always offered. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

To the Provan family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Dr Provan was our family physician for many, many years. He took care of me from the time I was born until I was well into my twenties. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers and Dr Provan will always be remembered as the special man he was. God Bless you all.
