Chester Ross Wikberg passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 88, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. His death occurred on Sunday, November 15, 2015. He was predeceased by his brother Carl, Sister Hilda, his wife Joyce, his son Terry and daughter-in-law Claudette. He is survived by Olga Gieb, his two daughters - Trudy Shmyr (Lauren) and Jeri Lynn Henderson (Greg), as well as numerous grandchildren Trevor (Pam), Jeff (Suzanne), Kevin (Katie) as well as Rory (Tammie) and Jillian and great-grandchildren, Carson, Kayle, Morgan, Brooklyn, Everett, Madison, and Arianna. Chester was an entrepreneur, first owning and operating a grocery store in Perdue, moving to Melfort and starting Main Plumbing and Heating with his brother Carl and friend Eric McMahon. Over the years he also opened a laundromat and a car wash. He owned Main Plumbing for over 40 years before retiring. Chester enjoyed travelling to many lakes in the summer and spending time in Yuma and other parts of the US in the winter months. He had a good sense of humour and was known to pull practical jokes. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, November 27 at 1 p.m. at the United Church; 220 Borrows Ave W Melfort, SK. Interment to take place at later date at Crocusvale (Perdue) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. In living memory of Chester, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
