I too studied to become a Music minor @ Valparaiso U. Fun courses were tap dance, jazz piano, classical guitar, symphonic band, modern vocal & theater costume design. This is a freehand charcoal sketch therapy.

We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Patterson Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers ([email protected]) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your son's sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. I never knew Christopher, but as I was driving with my young son in the back seat to pick up my other son from preschool this morning, his funeral procession stopped me in my tracks. I took that moment to reflect on what Christopher and his family had to sacrifice for the safety and freedom of my own family and all of the other families in this country. I'm so sorry for your loss, Patterson family, and I thank you for having made the ultimate sacrifice to make this country a better place.

Bob and Mary, you must be feeling such sorrow, and yet huge pride in the Christian, the Soldier, and the Son you raised. Thank you for sharing Chris with all of us. Chris and my daughter Kirin Singhal were in pre-school and first grade at St Johns and we remember him very well with very fond memories. Thank the Lord for His sacrifice which will bring us all the opportunity for eternal life. We can't wait to see Chris again beyond this veil. Kirin's husband is in the Army and finished an Afghanistan tour last year. My step-son also returned from a tour last year. Appreciate all our armed forces here and abroad. As a family of a soldier currently serving, we have you close to our hearts and are covering you with prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. My son, the soldier(West 2010 Grad) knew your son. A fellow soldier told him, "when a soldier falls everyone takes a knee" That's what they do. His service will never be forgotten.

Evertime I hear of someone paying the ultimate sacrifice, tears form in the corners of my eyes. I just cannot fathom this experience. My son served 4 years in the Navy a few years back and I am grateful he made it through his years of serving our country. Rest in Peace, Christopher. And may God bless your soul.
