CLIFFORD DALE CLEMENS

Clifford Dale Clemens, 67, of Wellsboro passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014, surrounded by overwhelming love, endless devotion and broken hearts.
Cliff was born in Wellsboro on Nov. 29, 1946, the youngest of four sons of the late Lawrence and Grace (Sumner) Clemens; he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Dennis Clemens, of Wellsboro. Cliff was married to Sandra Wood on July 9, 1976. They were married for 38 years. Cliff retired as a corrections officer for the Tioga County Prison, in July of 2009, after 25 years of service. His earlier occupations included being a machinist at Corning Glass Works; driving truck with his cousin, David Clemens and working as a game warden. He served with the Army National Guard and was a member of both a Harley Davidson motorcycle club and classic car club. Among the many things Cliff enjoyed doing was spending time with his beloved family and with close friends, Dick Abernathy and Mike Youmans, both of Wellsboro.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Sandra, is his brother, Rockne (Gerry) Clemens of Wellsboro; his son, Chad D. Clemens and his children, Cameron, Courtney and Madelyn Clemens, all of Wellsboro; his daughter and son-in-law, Sean and Robin (Clemens) Adams of Wellsboro; three step-sons, Gerald Morral, Jr. of Germania and his daughter, Caitlyn Morral, Jeffrey Morral of English Center and his son, Ty Morral, and Jamie Morral (Sara) of Wellsboro. He recently became the great-grandfather of Coleman Eli Adams. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Billy Wood and by brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Lana Wetherbee. Cliff was the proud and loving uncle of Mike and Teresa (Clemens) Bonk, Troy Clemens, Mike and Linda Clemens, Scott and Nancy Clemens, Roxanne Clemens, Stu and Lana (Clemens) May, Den and Kathy Clemens, Christopher and Paula Clemens and Chris and Christina (Clemens) Gehman.
Family and friends are invited to Cliff's Life Celebration on Thursday, July 17, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Tussey- Mosher Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral service will follow at 5 p.m., with the Rev. Jane E. Monks officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the East Charleston Cemetery, Whitneyville.
