Three years.....how has it been three years?? Seems like yesterday you were here...we talked everyday. Saw each other almost everyday. You were such a big part of my life for 40 years. You were always there playing...teaching...joking....protecting helping. You were not only my brother...you were my friend...my dad...even if it was the middle of the night and I showed up at your house you would let me right in and stay up and talk to me. You helped shape me into the person I am today. You taught me patience and how to work hard. You taught me to be strong and how to take care of myself . I miss you so much I replay my last day with you over and over in my head wishing I could have said this or should have done that before you were gone. But glad I was there with you..sitting next to you and holding your hand was the only place I wanted to be. My heart will be forever broken. Ii think about you everyday. Until I see you again. Curtis, I just found out today that you had lost you courageous battle. Yo will be forever missed. You made my day every time you called me at Tx Appliance. I will miss talking to you. Curtis, you have been a true friend to me and a great Father in-law to my son David. I will never forget the day you came to my house an found the problem I was having with my electric. After repairing it you would not think of accepting money,instead you told me thats what family does. Since that day my friend I use those words when I can. You will be missed.

I met Curtis in the waiting room at M.D.Anderson. The conversation centered on Jesus and a friendship developed. Myself my wife Maxine, Shannon and Curtis became very close. We laughed, cried and praised God thru all of it. Curtis showed he was a Man of God thru his smile, attitude, testimony, and deep faith in his Savior Jesus Christ. He and Shannon encouraged us many many times as we journeyed thru our cancers. Curtis will by truly missed by Maxine and I. He was greatly Loved, by his Doctors, Nurses, and his rehab. attendants. God take the strong and worthy. Curtis proved his strength and endurance in life and during his illness. Now he can rest and look after us.

I lived on Spoonwood just down the street from your family for many years. I will never forget how kind and friendly Curtis was. When I came home to an open door, he drove by and went in and checked my house so I felt safe. He was a very good neighbor and always had a smile, a honk, and a wave. I am truly sorry for your loss. Sending prayers for comfort for his family, friends, and neighbors. He was a great man.

I'm beyond sad and still in shock that you are gone. I can still hear your awesome laugh. I will miss seeing you at family gatherings, but i will miss your hugs even more. Curtis, you will be forever missed. I remember years ago, you and David riding dirt bikes in the subdivisions when you worked for Choice Homes. I'm so sorry you lost the battle to cancer but at least you aren't suffering anymore. Prayers to your family & God Bless.
