Cynthia Bishop Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 2, 2011.
EDDINGTON - Cindy Bishop, 56, passed away July 30, 2011, with her loving family surrounding her, after fighting a very brave and difficult battle with cancer for the second time. She was born Feb. 17, 1955, in Bangor, daughter of Richard and Beatrice (Cameron) Miller. Cindy for many years worked as a packer for a shoe and slipper company. She also worked as a bartender and waitress at Judy's, Bangor, and during blueberry season was one of the best pickers around. Cindy was predeceased by her loving father, Richard Miller; grandparents, Alice and Donald Miller; her Nanny Cameron; her favorite uncle, Albert "Al" Miller; and a wonderful nephew, Andy Sickles. She leaves behind her daughter, April Ames and her husband, Ed Ames, and precious granddaughter, Scotland Rose Ames, all of Waterville; son, Paul Alley and his daughter of Bangor; and her youngest son whom she loved very much, John Richard King of East Millinocket. She also leaves behind her mother, Beatrice Miller; brother, Don Miller and wife, Barbie; sisters, April Leigh and her husband, Kevin, all of Eddington, Brenda Sickles and Donna Trask; and longtime companion, Chet Holland of Bangor. She also leaves behind too many relatives to mention on both sides of the Miller and Cameron families. She will also be remembered by her special friend, Marvin Lambert; and too many others who throughout the years stood by her in sadness and happiness and who will be missed. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at Miller Family Cemetery, located behind 50 Miller Lane, Eddington. Family and friends are welcome. There will be a reception after the services at 9 Miller Lane. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Bangor and Brewer.

Many knew how giving, you were to others around you. What many did not know how much you loved others. You helped total strangers, always showed love to the ones that hurt you. I will love and always remember you. Please Rest In Peace.

My Sister, I miss our 1 am choclate ice cream. You would wake so that we had this special times together. Cindy you held me up with your love and understanding that I just was not as strong as you. I was so proud of how you stayed so loving, and giving. I will not lie Cindy these days are so hard. Yet when I think about your silly giggles and smiles I know that you are finally in true peace. The rest I will tell you later, while under the stars. Twinkle my precious sister.April
