Daniel Lalich

Daniel Richard Lalich, also known as Happy, passed away on August 17, 2023, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 55. He was born on February 28, 1968, in Tampa, Florida. Happy was a beloved individual who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Happy had a passion for grilling and smoking food. He delighted in preparing delicious meals on the grill, particularly his mouthwatering smoked pork. His culinary skills brought joy to the hearts and taste buds of those fortunate enough to savor his creations. Happy also cherished spending time with his loved ones and frequently visited old friends and family. He enjoyed going to the beach, always ready to accompany anyone who wished to join him.

In his free time, Happy had a passion for music. He enjoyed playing and listening to all kinds of music, finding joy and solace in its melodies. He also liked to go out and eat, often accompanied by a pitcher of beer. Happy had a special bond with his pets, Oreo (deceased) and Pebbles. Pebbles will miss Happy dearly and the opportunity to lick his head, which brought them both joy.

Family was of utmost importance to Happy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He is survived by his long-time girlfriend of 17 years, Barbara Wiarek. He was a loving father to his daughter Cheri Lalich, his sons Steven Flegle and Daniel Lalich III, and his daughter Brianna Lalich. Happy was also a stepfather to Nicole Wiarek and a doting grandfather to Alyssa, Sophia, Christina, Gabriella, Journey, Hunter, Lila, Mia, and Haisley. He will be dearly missed by his sister Rebel Taylor, his brothers Robert Hirtner, Roy Sims, and Michael Sims, as well as his sister Danielle Sims. Happy was also an adored uncle to Brandon Miller, Anthony Miller, Harley Mitchell, Cody Lloyd, and Tashauna Aziz.

Happy was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Lalich Sr., his mother, Betty Lalich, and his mother figure, Harriet Bradshaw.

A celebration of Happy's life will be held at Anthony Miller's home. located at 12814 S County Road 39, Lithia, FL 33547. The gathering will take place any time after 12pm, on August 26th, allowing friends and family to come together and honor his memory.

Happy Lalich will forever be remembered for his vibrant spirit, culinary talents, and unwavering love for his family and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
