David J. Kimball

ORLAND - David J. Kimball, 77, passed away with his loving family by his side on February 5, 2015, in Belfast. He was born on May 29, 1937, the son of James N. and Laura (Smith) Kimball.

David was in the Air Force service as a Radar Repairman. He loved to go hunting, snowmobiling and enjoyed sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. He was very active in his grandchildren's lives. Upon retiring after 24 years in the Bucksport Mill as a Instrument Technician, he and his wife enjoyed camping with their RV. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

David is survived by his wife of 50 years Rachel (Bosse) Kimball, three children; Eric Kimball of East Orland, Karen Hendrix and husband Michael of Levant, Michael Kimball and wife Kelli of Amherst, four grandchildren; Wyatt Hendrix, Hunter Kimball, Samantha Hendrix and Kasey Kimball. He was predeceased by his parents.

Family and friends will gather for visitation from 5-7pm on Friday, February 13, 2015, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A visitation will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. at which time a short memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home. Following the visitation and service, a reception will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church parish hall.
