Janet and family, I am so sorry to hear of Dave passing. He was a wonderful man. He was so compassionate and helpful to my mom when my dad passed and then again with me when my mom passed. I am very sorry that I missed his service. My prayers will be with your family for continued healing. Diane

Dave was the love of my life, and no one could ask for a better brother. I loved him dearly. I send my heartfelt prayers to Betty and all of Dave's wide circle of family and friends.

I've been a dear friend to Dave's surviving sister Fran for nearly 40 years. Dave died just two days after Fran's 90th birthday. I am bereft at the news of this sweet and fun man's passing. I had the good fortune to be with him too-few times when he visited Fran in San Diego ~ but what good fortune it was. I could easily see why she was just so wild about her beloved brother. My condolences to Betty, family and friends. We are watching carefully over your beloved sister, Dave dear, as you will be too, now and forever. RIP.

I wanted to be there with you guys, just know your in my thoughts and prayers. Ill always remember the fun times we had with your dad on our trips to FL and Nashville, IN, your Dad was always the life of the party. So much fun!!! Miss you guys.

He was a good friend and neighbor.

Was so sadden to hear this, I knew him for many years when he worked at Rees Funeral Home. A lovely human being and funny as well. May he rest in peace. Prayer goes out to his family.

I was fortunate enough to be able to call Dave my stepdad. He married my mom Judy and it was some of the happiest time of her life. They had great fun together and he was great to be around. While he was only in my life a short time he will always be remembered as my stepdad, just as Hattiebelle was our grandma. Know you were in my thoughts often. I always had great respect for Dave, as a person, and as a funeral director. I first met Dave when I was s a young boy when Dave was working for my father at the Downtown Gary funeral home in the 1950s. Dave was always lots of fun to be around, but had his serious side too. We will miss you Dave, but you left us many memories!
