Dixie Dodson

Memorial visitation for Dixie A. Dodson, 73, Camanche, will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Homes and Crematory. The body will be cremated. Mrs. Dodson died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at her home. She was employed as a dispatcher and operation personnel at Dohrn Transfer and Halls Trucking Co. She worked until 1986 at Preston Motors, Rock Island. Dixie Stuart was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Chicago. She married Leland Dodson in 1947 in Fort Madison. Memorials may be made to Camanche Public Library or Humane Society. Survivors include her husband, Leland; daughters, Jennifer Schaffer, Camanche, and Jacki Dodson, Pine Island, Minn.; sons, Jeffery, Camanche, and Larry, Albia; and six grandchildren.
