Dmytro ZAPLOTYNSKY Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Dmytro Zaplotynsky of Edmonton on June 21, 2017, at the age of 89 years.
Dmytro is survived by his two daughters, Donna (Dan) Slywa and Brenda Hamilton of Edmonton. He will be sadly missed by five grandchildren, Dale (Shawna) Mariacci, Leanne Ganske, Lindy Lafontaine, Laura (Bill) Lee and Eva Hamilton; seven great- grandchildren, Brandon and Kayla Mariacci, Dylan and Sarah Ganske and Donovan, Eleanor and Isaac Lee; one brother, Nick (Pauline) Zapp of Abbotsford, BC; one son-in-law, Remie Mariacci and many nieces and nephews. Dmytro was predeceased by his loving wife, Rose Zaplotynsky; daughter, Diane; infant grandson, Thomas; parents, Fred and Mary Zaplotynsky; six brothers; two sisters; and infant sister, Rosie.
Many thanks to Dr. Adam Parrish and the staff at Capital Care Dickinsfield for their care and compassion given to Dmytro.
Funeral Service Wednesday, June 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue. Very Reverend Michael Kowalchyk officiating with interment in St. Michael's Cemetery.
