Don Richardson was one of the first people we got to know at Arlington Friends of the Drama, when we got involved in building sets. His willingness to work with someone who hadn't picked up a tool in 25+ years, and hadn't been involved in theatre in ~30 years, clearly came from his time in teaching. This positive experience got us deeply involved at AFD. We met Nancie shortly thereafter. They opened their home for numerous cast parties. Gareth also served several terms as AFD House Director, but he knew he was just keeping the place ticking over until Don could take over the reins again!
Nancie: Take comfort that Don was much loved and that he did good in life. We will all miss him, but you will miss him more.

Dear Nancie, You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of Don who was beloved by so many. He was such a gentle person, always willing to help. It was a pleasure to work with him at Ottoson and AHS. He truly was a Renaissance man who will be greatly missed. May memories of wonderful, happy times together and the support of friends be of comfort to you!
