Chip,
We have known each other for many years as past presidents of the soccer league. We have all had many years of breakfast on Saturday mornings telling stories, laughing and getting loud no matter who was around. You will be missed tremendously by all of your good friends from soccer on Saturday mornings.

Julia I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You are both in my prayers.

Dear Julia,
When I joined the Connecticut Bar Examining committee Chip was one of the first people that I met. He was already fighting Parkinson's by then. But he came early to the meetings and participated despite what must have been a very challenging time. It was for me an inspiration. I wish you and your family peace and comfort.

Chip had a wonderful sense of humor, & was an excellent lawyer who helped me many times with thinking through legal strategy in our defense of litigation cases at the Travelers Ins. Co. - Chip always made himself available when we had questions regarding legal issues - please accept my sincere sympathy -

Julie: Jan and I are so sorry for your loss. In my over 35 years in the Connecticut legal community, I never met a better, smarter or funnier person than Chip. I will always cherish our political talks (Chip, of course, did most of the talking) on the fourth floor in New Haven. Many your memories of this wonderful man guide you through these times.

Dear Julia, Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I will always be grateful to Chip as one of my first mentors. He was an officer and a true gentleman who took the time to show me the ropes at Oceana. His insights, freely shared and well-articulated, helped me sidestep so many of the errors common to newbies. I greatly appreciate that he believed in my abilities and the opportunities he and Ken gave me during those years to take the harder cases, when reserving them to themselves would have been totally defensible. I remember Chip as a fine officer and lawyer, with a wonderful sense of humor. Being with you both during your courtship - I still remember the day those beautiful roses came to you at the NLSO - are fond memories of our junior JAG days.
