I had the privilege of playing tuba with Edward in the Thorp Community Band, Musikkapelle Leavenworth, and the Yakima Valley Community Band. He was not only a fine musician, but a very warm and delightful person. I shall miss him greatly.

Edward was a lovely man, and a loyal and supportive friend to my father, Herbert Bird.
May flights of angels sing him to rest.
