Ehrman Phillips Sr.

Ehrman Phillips Sr. 84 of Orange, Tx died on August 13, 2009 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital after a short illness.Mr. Phillips was a resident of Orange, Tx for 44 years and a native of Shaw, Mississippi. He was retired from the Longshoreman Company in Orange after many years of service. He had been a faithful memberof El Bethel baptist church and a member of Mason's organization for several years.He was preceded in death by his parents Ehrman and Maggie Phillips. Three daughters, Shirley Moore, Maggie Riley and Mildred Sezar. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Saturday at Power of Praise Christian Center located at 1301 10th street in Orange, Tx. Pastor Ervin Victoria of El Bethel Baptist church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. til time of service. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Memorial Chapel. He is survived by his wife Mary Lee Phillips of Orange, Tx. Six sons, Ehrman Phillips Jr, Willie D. Phillips, Floyd Phillips, Richard Phillips Sr. (Dora), Bishop Larry Phillips Sr. (Vickie) all of Orange, Tx. Monroe Marshall of Chicago, Illinois. Two daughters, Rose Mary Lollis (Bishop Lollis) of Abbeville, La and Patricia Hoyt (Richard) of Orange, Tx. One brother, Marion Phillips Sr. of Orange, Tx. One sister, Marie Townsend of Orange, Tx. He also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
