To the Berger family: My sincere condolences. My grandmother (Mrs,. Florence Schlink-she passed in 1979) lived next door on Hoagland and moved with us to the Woodburn area in 1971. Our backyards were separated by a fence near the garden. My mom was Nancy and as a child, my two sisters and I lived there for a short time but we visited our grandmother's home frequently. I remember your mom and dad both working in the garden, and I recall the day Erika received her first communion, running through the neighborhood in her white communion gown. It's been a lot of years (decades) and we've all moved on. My mom is still in the area and most of the my brothers and sisters are also in the area. I reside in San Antonio and I read the obit's daily to satisfy my desire to keep informed. I was saddened to read this, but I know that GOD has embraced her into his kingdom and that through this media he made it so for me to know as well. I've enclosed some pictures if it helps your memory to recall us. Dick Shuman
