With sorrow we announce the passing of Eno on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Eno was the beloved husband of Ines for 53 years. Born in Nogaredo di Corno, Italy, he came to Calgary in 1957. Eno was a construction foreman and was proud of his contribution to the growth of this city. He was an active member of the Fogolâr Furlan di Calgary and considered many of its members as his friends. He had many hobbies and enjoyed family trips to Italy, France and Belgium. He was generous with his time and was always willing to help friends or neighbours. In the last two years of his life, he had a beloved grandson to play with and cherish. Eno will be loving remembered by his wife Ines; son Denny; daughter Sonia and her husband Robert Petzold; grandson Stephen; brother Valdimiro and sister Vanilla, both of Italy; and numerous nieces and nephews in Italy, Belgium and France. Eno was predeceased by an adored son Gino; a sister and two brothers. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Gerard's Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary AB) today, January 2, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard's Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery (3219 - 4 Street N.W., Calgary, AB). The family wishes to thank the staff at the Rockyview General Hospital, and in particular Unit 74, for their compassionate care of Eno. In living memory of Eno Bertolissi, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
