Erica Medina Obituary

I've been thinking about you a lot lately. Not a day goes by that I don't miss you. A lot has changed since you've been gone. I wish that you could be here so that we could talk about it. I'll see you again one day.

I don't know if anyone is reading this, but I wanted to extent my condolences to the family for the loss of such a beautiful soul. I was very close to both Erica and Joel in high school and had no idea about this tragic loss. My heart breaks to find this out. I write to you Joel, I know how close and devoted you and Erica were to one another and I pray that you and your mom are ok! All my love!!!

You still remain in my heart as a beautiful person. From the first time I seen you smiled in 1997 in a cold, miserable northeast PA. Your smile would always warm my heart and eased my mind. I was always happy to be around you.
No matter how bad my day was back then, being with you, around you or even talking to you over the phone made it better.
You were my parent's favorite. May your soul forever be smiling and be in peace.

How I have missed you and still missing you in this passing year. The feeling in my heart hasn't been the same since God took you to be with him. You left me with beautiful memories of the short time you were with us. I know you're in a better place and for that I'm very happy. I miss the times we used to go out, planned birthday get togethers and decorate for different occasions especially for christmas our favorite holiday. You were a caring, loving and beautiful daughter,I miss your beautiful smile and your present in the house. I know we'll be seeing each other someday along with all of my other love ones you joined. I waited to post because I know this will be viewed only a few people. Even though some time has passed not a day goes by that I don't think about you. You were the best Sister God could have ever given me. You took a piece of me the day that God called you home. The only thing that provides me peace is knowing that you're in heaven were you belong. As your brother I promise you that I will try and carry on your legacy for all the years of my life. Thank you for being such a wonderful person. I'll never say good-bye; I'll just say that I'll say that I'll see you one later. May God Bless you always.

Prima de mi vida no se ni que decir aunque no viví en florida me acuerdo de cuando pasamos un buen tiempo en new York.Me sorprendió de tal manera que no tenia consuelo por que tu siempre tan saludable y con una sonrisa siempre y llena de una vida por delante para ser feliz y terminar de criar a tu hija.Me has dado una gran leccion de que la vida es muy corta y hay que disfrutar al maximo y siempre te recordare por el gran abrazo que me diste cuando yo fui a florida nunca lo olvidare y el dia que te perdi parece que te despediste de mi yo estaba en la mesa comiendo y se me erizo la piel hasta la cabeza y el dia antes tuvo un sueno contigo se que no ha sido facil para la familia pero yo se que Ceci esta en buenas manos y que DIOS le dara fuerzas a tio y titi ..Te amo mucho y que descanses en paz alla nos veremos algun dia te adoro con mi vida.

Erica you were an energetic person that we love dearly. Your smile lit up a room, and we will miss you greatly! Our deepest sympathy goes to the family, we are here for guys if you need anything at all. We will keep you guys in our prayers and love you always!

I don't even know who to express what Erica meant to me. While she lived in Miami, we were inseparable! Are kids grew together, we went through tough times together. And no matter what, we were there for each other. She took out my daughters first tooth because I was too scared and she even showed her how to do it herself. Erica gave me my first book of Joel Osteen and wrote a beautiful dedication to me. She went with me to see my father because I didn't want to go by myself since I hadn't seen him in over 20 years. There are just too many things that we did together to mention. One thing I know for sure is that she will forever be a part of my life and made it better. I will make sure that my baby boy knows of his Titi Erica. That she was just a great and wonderful person that would just warm your heart. How family was her number one priority, that was evident by the love she showed to everyone and her family. I will always remember her smile and how she would make me laugh. I'll always remember Erica for her smile that lit up the room and her laugh and how loud she can speak lol. I admire that. I admire how strong she was and how much she loved her family. She was a great mother, sister, daughter, cousin, and friend and I admire that as well. She is missed very much. Although I didn't get the privilege to hang out with her as much...the time spent was always good. She always laughed and smiled. My heart as well as Eo's goes out to you guys...all of the Medina family and Harry. We can't imagine what you guys are going through and pray that you guys find strength and comfort. We are here for you guys and love you.

Dear Medina Family,
I was introduced to Erica and her family 2 years ago through Venus (one of my best and closest friends). I remember telling her "oh my gosh you and your daughter look like sisters", we all laughed! After that we met on different ocassions and would talk about our daughters who had just graduated from H.S. and our families. I can honestly say that we have been "touched by an angel", as we will forever hold her close to our hearts! Titi Gladys and Tio Joe. No words can comfort our hurting hearts right now. Let his arms wrap around you and comfort you. I will miss Erica deeply. She was more than a cousin, she was a sister. Love you all.

Gladys and Joe. There are no words to say to comfort you in this time of sorrow. I hope and pray that God will help you heal. Our children belong to God our father. Find some comfort in knowing that now she is with him, in a better place where there is no sorrow. In some ways those we lose always remain in our hearts and our fond memories. In time you can look back and be thankful for the time we are granted to spend with those we love.

Erica was not only my best friend she was my sister. We raised our children together. Went to the same elementary school. Erica was a strong, vibrant, intelligent woman who loved her family. I will miss our talks before work and on your ride back. Your nieces and nephews love and miss you. I will miss those beautiful brown eyes and your smile that brightens the room. To my niece Cecilia, mom, joe, joel my deepest sympathy. I love you lots.

Words cannot descirbe my sorrow to hear of the loss of Erica. She was a beautiful, loving, happy, strong woman, whom I admired. My heart goes out to Cecilia, Gladys, Joe, Joel, Venus and all of the many people who's lives she touched. Her beautiful spirit will always be remembered and cherished.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel for your loss. Erica was a beautiful, spirited person that will be dearly missed. May you find comfort in the glory of God.
